  I originally went to The Rink only monthly for Sac City Rollers roller derby bouts but I just went last night for their Sunday 7-9:30p open skate session and had a great time and will be coming back for more before they temporarily shut down for roof maintenance summer 2017.
  
  Excellent music selection and requests are free. Open and welcoming staff members and patrons. It's hard to beat $5.50 for 2.5hrs of skating! Open and free parking and is handicap accessible.
  
  The only two qualms I have with The Rink is, one, their floor - not a traditional wooden, which isn't a deal breaker, but it has seen some damage that they've attempted to fix but leaves for a textured skating surface compared to other rinks in the area. Second item of note is for when I'm photographing roller derby bouts - the giant bright orange "The Rink" on the big wall is hideous and makes for terrible photographing.
